A Little Known Fact...

While preparing for the next series of lessons, what I call conversations, on The 12 Days of Christmas I learn that  the paper bag was invented by a woman named Margaret E. Knight. She left her mark in the world by utilizing her mental and physical "capacity, talent or endowment" to create something that has been used for generations.

Knight stayed her course despite negative stereotypical comments and attitudes about women at the time. In fact, she was denied a patten for her invention because of a man. Yet, she stood her ground and inevitably won a lawsuit and gained a patent for her invention.

It is with this same fervor that we  must fight the good fight of faith and stand in the midst of adversity ... having done all, stand.  This posture isn't one of conceit but confidence in knowing that "greater is He that is within us than he that is in the world" and that "He who has begun a good work in us shall complete it"

Listen, God doesn't do anything "half-fast".  So, take a look what's inside you - that desire, that innate ability, dream, etc. and write the vision and make it plain.  Make a plan and be determined to follow it through. You never know, the next great invention may come from you.

Bagged fashionably: You've come a long way baby!

As we begin to take a look at our first installment of the 12 Days of Christmas: The Gift Box, I'm considering this...

  • What kind of box/bag are you?
  • What are you carrying?
Stay tuned for more. In fact mark your calendar for Monday, December 8th at 1 pm for Your Life by Design Broadcast. You are going to be blessed 'cause you were created for a unique purpose. Until we meet again,
