Happy New Year!

Welcome to 2015!

Did you make New Year's Resolutions? What are they? How do you plan to maintain and succeed in accomplishing your goals? And how will they affect you, your family, and others? These are things that we sometimes miss in making our resolutions.

One of my biggest resolutions is to live healthier. This is an ongoing process; one that I started but was as consistent with it in 2014. So, I'm on a mission. My goal is to lose 50 lbs. This mission is not just about my body, but my mind and heart as well. Over the past few months I realized that not only did I gain physical weight but I was carry, holding on to, emotional baggage. There are also some behaviors that I'm not so happy about. More importantly, God isn't happy about them and they affect relationships and my personal & professional success. This has to change if I am going to walk in the things that God has for me.

I'm embarking on a journey I call Get in SHAPE: Lose the Weight. This holistic and biblical approach is based on a study I did a few years ago in Hebrews 12:1-3. Verse one (1) is the key.

Therefore then, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses [who have borne testimony to the Truth], let us strip off and throw aside every encumbrance (unnecessary weight) and that sin which so readily (deftly and cleverly) clings to and entangles us, and let us run with patient endurance and steady and active persistence the appointed course of the race that is set before us... (Hebrews 12:1 Amp)

What thoughts, behaviors, beliefs hold you back from achieving your goals, building relationships and just living healthier on every level? Something to think about isn't it? Isn't it time to do something about it? Here's your opportunity!

I'd like to personally invite you to join me on this journey. It will change your spirit, soul, and body. We begin Monday, January 5 at 1 p.m. on the Your Life by Design broadcast as we delve into this study and begin to set ourselves up for successful and healthy living. This study promises to be transitional, transactional and transformational.

On behalf of my family and Your Life by Design, I'd like to wish you a very happy, safe and prosperous New Year. As we strive to live out our lives in 2015 I pray that we do it with grace, determination, and hope - believing that all things are possible through Jesus Christ.
